There’s something remarkable about the number one. The first. The original. I’m referring to the number one, our Super Stat this week because it marks the very first issue of The Insider.

The Insider is designed to be a quick dose of news and information that you can use to get your week off to a quick (and well-informed) start. Not bloated or flabby like some publications that jam a firehose in your mouth with the hope you will be able to drink in the information, The Insider is curated and concise, delivering just what you need and nothing more.

I’ll give you a quick tour.

Let’s start at the top. Each week The Insider will feature a new product or workspace solution with a link to more information about it. It is a great way to learn about how manufacturers are thinking differently and creating products that will change the way people work.

Next, let me direct you to the “Need to Know Numbers” section. It is meant to give you the information you need to start your week — oil prices, shipping container information, gas trends and the price of steel. Would you like to see additional categories added? Just let us know and we would be happy to track additional measures that will help you start your week.

Below the Numbers section you will find this column. I’ll take one number each week and tie it to something that is important to the industry. Though we started with the number one, the Super Stat could very well have been, say, 40,000, the attendance number for this year’s NeoCon to go with a column about what we learned at the show. You get the idea.

Next up is the “Must Reads,” a curated set of articles that will get your week off to an informed start. Again, take what you need and leave the rest behind.

Later in this issue, The Insider will help you identify products that are trending — those hot products that are getting a lot of attention. You will also see Tips and Tricks to make your week more efficient along with Upcoming Events to help you plan your schedule.

Newsletters like this should be inclusive in every way. After all, the information we are gathering is for you. So if you don’t like something or wish you could have more of something else, let us know. We are here to serve you.
